"Toyboy" is the third single from British girlgroup INTOXICATED. The single follows on from the group's #1 single "Freeze Over", and features upcoming rapper Coral Harris. The single was originally scheduled for a release date of March 12, however it was pushed back two months three weeks before the release date due to issue's in the group, such as band member Sara's debut solo release. After several date changes, the single was eventually cancelled in the last week of April, due to problems within the girl group.

Background[edit | edit source]

Upon the release of INTOXICATED's third studio album "Love & War", "Toyboy" was noticed as a standout track on the album, and deffinately worthy of being the next single. The track also featured Coral Harris, an upcoming grime artist who was looking to appear on as many records as she could before the release of her debut single. The single was originally due for a 12 March release, however it was eventually pushed back a week for promotional reasons. Three week's before it's release, Intoxicated announced they were going on hiatus, and would be releasing "Toyboy" as download only. However in early March Coral hit out at the group for the cancellation, and they ended up giving it a new release date of 7 May.

Release and reception[edit | edit source]

The song was recieved good reviews from critics, who enjoyed the fiesty persona both acts delivered during the song. Most critics called it a "sure-fire future number 1" until it's cancellation.

Music video[edit | edit source]

It has been revealed that the video is set to be the band's most steamy and raunchy video to date. It is known that Coral will make an appearance in the video, and two screenshots of the video were revealed. However after the single's cancellation it is unlikely the full video will ever be released to the public.
