The Empire is an independent record label and publishing imprint founded by Romo in September 2011. Romo founded The Empire following the bankruptcy and closing of her previous label, Saturdays Records.
Romo has said the label is closed to signings and she would only appoint those she deems worthy to her roster. The label's first release will be her collaboration with Paulo Araujo, "Rinse, Rinse/Frenemies".
