Tayla White is a young female singer from the UK. She was originally born in California, USA, but moved to England with her family when she was 10.
Tayla attended Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts from the ages of 11-15 before transferring to The BRIT School until she was 18.
After her stint at The BRIT School, White was signed to a major record label and announced as The 2012 BRIT Award winner for Critics Choice, an award presented to a former student of BRIT School whom is expected to enjoy success in their career.
2012 - Forever[edit | edit source]
Tayla White was introduced to the public on December 12, 2011 with the announcement of her signing and debut single 'Love Me'. The statement released confirmed that 'Love Me' was to be released in early 2012. It also stated that a debut album entitled 'Forever' was to follow in the summer of the same year.
Just eight days later, it was revealed by gossip website Ur A Gossip that 'Love Me' was to be released on February 6, 2012. The song got its first play by Vernon Kay on BBC Radio 1 on December 30, 2011. It was announced on the same day that White had made BBC Radio 1's 'Introducing 2012' list, meaning the station would support White's releases fully throughout 2012.
On January 14, 2012 it was announced that the singer had won the 2012 Critics Choice BRIT Award.
On January 29, 2012 White confirmed that she had been selected to take part in the 2012 URAPS Tango Challenge and had been teamed with Leighann Martin.
