Wolf Wolfe!
(2011)

Wolf Wolfe! is the first mini album/compilation album from Wolf Wolfe. It was released on March 14, 2011, a mere 4 months after his last album. It charted at #18, but peaked at #15. The album was released because he moved over to Trish Records and Trish told him he needed a new image. So the last album was put out of print, with Wolf Wolfe! becoming it's replacement. It has sold 104,356 copies so far.

Content[edit | edit source]

There are eight tracks on the release. Four of these tracks, The Same Man I Always Was, As Long As I Got You, Americana Boy and Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me appear on his debut album Wolf Wolfe and the Women Who Loved Him. The first track is I Wanna Know What Love Is which is a Foreigner cover. It features his wife Taylor Taylor-Wolfe. This version of the song stays very true to the original and even includes a lot of the original backing track. Track three is Hiya! which is inspired by the Saturdays song, Higher. Wolf's label boss at Trish Records, Trish, pushed Wolf to record this and he was very happy with the result. "It's a modern masterpiece". Track six is a cover of Kristinia DeBarge's track "Powerless". Kristinia is also signed to Trish and several Trish acts have recorded her songs, including Jason Adams. Wolf's version of the song is acoustic with only Wolf and a guitar. Finally, track 8 is the Starsmith Remix of Wolf's cancelled debut single "The Boy To Warm Your Mother's Heart". There really isn't much difference.
