Song Information[edit | edit source]
You Gotta... is an upbeat track written by pop singer Ana Simpson. According to Ana this is one of those songs that gets you going when you are clubbing with your gals. The song was planned to be a radio only single, but Tigerstar decided to release as a normal single after Critics called praised the tune. The single went on the become Ana's highest single in the UK charts.
Music video[edit | edit source]
The video starts with Ana in an apartment. The camera moves in many directions as Ana sings each line of the song. The first part, Ana is in her bed talking in the cellphone. Then the camera quickly goes fast, and Ana changes her clothes like 10 times, but it only takes a few seconds. This part of the video, Ana is on the top edge of a building singing. As Ana sings, she throws a microphone down, and she watches the microphone fall in slow motion. Now as Ana starts the chorus, the camera goes fast. The scene now is changed again. Ana is at a restaurant holding 2 little dolls (1 is her, and the other is her suppose boyfriend). As she sings each line of the song, you can see her moving the dolls around, as the song tells (Jump, Scream, Kiss). Now the scene changes, Ana is back on the top edge of the building, looking down and looking at the microphone falling. As it gets to the last three lines of the chorus, Ana is driving a black car. Apparently she’s speeding. This part of the video, the camera goes slow, as the song goes slow as well. Ana is still back on the top of the building looking down in slow motion the microphone falling. Then all the sudden she jumps from the building. Ana shuts her eyes and look back in her mind all the good things and bad things that she had done to her boyfriend (everything goes fast). As Ana opens her eyes. She’s close to the ground. As she sings the chorus, the camera divides into two screens (top, bottom) and you can see in the up side Ana falling, and in the bottom side the ground. As Ana is getting closer and closer to the ground everything freezes. Ana blinks, then she look both sides, and smiles. She gets up and picks the microphone from the ground, and start singing (When she open her mouth to sing 'Oh Oh' The camera sort of moves very fast, and now Ana is on a stage singing the 3 lines left of the chorus. Now its the end of the video. Ana is on the stage singing the last verse of the song. When she looks down to the people in her show, she can see her boyfriend frozen in the middle of the crowd. Ana snap her fingers and now he is back to normal. When Ana finishes the show, she walks out in the back door of the stage with her band. When she looks back at her boyfriend and comes to hugs her. Ana pushes him away and snaps her fingers. Then the camera directs into her boyfriend, and you can see that he is frozen again.
