Jace Clemson, born April 17th, 1980, is a rock musician who currently lives in London, England. He is currently signed to Elite Records.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Jace originally went to college for acting, but after a friend taught him how to play guitar, he dropped out and began playing at any venue he could. Eventually he made his way back through college with a degree in music, and later caught the attention of a talent scout and several producers. In August of 2007 he signed a deal with Wired Records. His debut album Breaking Point, released in September of 2007, is noted for its unique sound - a mix of emo, progressive, and alternative rock. Jace also served as a weekly judge on URAPS Idol 9.

In April of 2009, Jace released his sophomore album With A Shotgun & A Smile.. to critical praise, with the album having a much more "industrial" sound then his debut album, while still maintaining his original sound and general themes of depression, anger, and hate.

Jace made headlines in July of that same year when his first documentary Breaking Point: Confessions of a Music Biz Junkie debuted on VH1, MTV, and MTV2 in the United States. The documentary followed Jace in 2008 as he went through AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings as well as rehab, and details his struggle to overcome his drug and alcohol addictions. The hour-long documentary reached an estimated audience of around 8 million people in its original three airings on the three networks, in total.
