Tino became famous when he competed in the 2005 edition of URAPS Idol. Born in Puerto Rico as Celestino Martinez, he moved to Miami with his family when he was a child. He never grew acustomed to the English language and tends to speak in Spanglish more than anything.

Tino's self love became evident before he made Idol with his famous tagline Me So Sexy. Tino says he began using the line as a way to accept himself for who he was, but apparently is at the point where he believes it.

He made the top 12 in URAPS Idol after impressing the public with his rendition of "Livin La Vida Loca." There were rumors he was having affairs with several female contestants during the show including Josie Matthews, Selan and winner Olivia Dimuzio.

Tino's charisma made him a fan favorite and he ultimately finished in 3rd in the competition, beating out people such as Selan, AJ Hutton and Nate Brown.

After Idol, Tino was signed to Tigerstar Records to a one album deal. He released his debut single in July 2006. The song was his trademark phrase Me So Sexy. Tino didn't take much of the promotion seriously, but the single still managed to become a top 20 hit.

Tino released his 2nd single in November 2006. He covered Ricky Martin/William Hung's She Bangs and collaborated with It's Not Over Until the Fat Lady Sings for the single. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but the single only reached #21 on the charts, becoming Fat Lady's lowest charting single in their career.

One week later, Tino released his debut album So Sexy. The album featured more feel good songs, and a questionable collaboration with singer Boris. The album was a commercial flop only reaching #30 on the charts.

Tino only released one single following this, the Girls Aloud parody Sexy! Si Si Si, which also failed to receive much momentum.

In 2010, Tino made a surprise comeback, with his biggest hits to date: Sexy Again (2010), Tatino Telemundo and Feliz Navidad (Sexy Christmas).
