The Love Was Lost was a collaboration single by Emma Button and Dr. C and the Predicates. It was released in February 2004, around the time when Emma became pregnant with Dr. C's baby. Despite an initial week disappointment of #21, it would climb in its second week of release to #7, becoming at the time both artists' biggest hit.
