Honey (born Vivienne Honey White; April 17, 1981) is an American R&B singer. In December 2010, Honey released her debut single, "Gone Til December". The single reached #3 on the UK Singles Chart.

Early life[edit | edit source]

Honey was born as Vivienne Honey White in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City, New York, United States of America on 17 April 1981. Her father, Benicio White, is of Hawaiian and Russian descent; her mother, Floella, is from the Phillipines. Despite her lineage, Honey states that people always thought she was either "Black, Latin, or Arabic when I'm really none of those things".

Early music career[edit | edit source]

In early 2010, Honey was signed to Saturdays Records and was set to release her debut single. However, her management advised her to cancel her debut single, in which she did, and she briefly retreated from the music business. She was eventually dropped from Saturdays, releasing nothing under the label.

Honey would eventually resurface in the music business months later.

2010 to present: debut single and Mafia[edit | edit source]

In mid to late 2010, Honey signed with Fusion Records and soon after began to promote her debut single, "Gone Til December". Honey spent two months promoting the single and on 27 December 2010, the single was finally released in the UK.

"Gone Til December" manage to debut and peak at #3 on the UK Singles Chart, becoming her first top three hit in the UK.

Current events[edit | edit source]

Shortly after the release of "Gone Til December", Honey announced that she would release her second single, "Mafia", and her debut album of the same name. Both the single and the album will be due in 2011.
